Acropolis Construction Company was founded in 1973 by John Diakoulas. We rely on the proven skills of John to take advantage of the ever growing need for building renovations. John brings over two decades of managerial expertise to the business, leading the company as it continues to establish itself by providing high quality construction service in the Baltimore metropolitan area.

In 1974, John joined forces with his brother Gus and Acropolis Construction Company, Inc. was formed. Together John and Gus ran the business, in partnership, for the next 18 years. While the company started as primarily a residential contractor it was during this time that it found itself expanding into the commercial side of the industry as well. In 1992 John took over sole ownership of the company, restructuring the business in the process. Due to  the company's substantial growth, it has now developed into two distinct divisions: Residential and Commercial.

The goals of the company are simple:

	To please each and every customer with high quality work
	Complete said work on time
	Provide outstanding value for the dollar

The advantage that Acropolis has over its competition is that it is not excessively large nor terribly small. Some of its competition is so big that they cannot take on $70,000 or $80,000 jobs because it would not be worth their time. Other companies are too small and do not have the manpower to complete jobs of over $500,000 in scope. Here is where Acropolis Construction comes in.
